When the American Red Cross asked us to produce a series of disaster preparedness PSAs, we knew they had to do more than inform, they had to truly connect with the ASL community. Built from the ground up with ASL consultants and interpreters, the videos resonated so well the client added a Spanish version.
The American Red Cross needed seven PSAs on disaster preparedness, developed first and foremost for the ASL community, then adapted into Spanish and English. They wanted videos that educated while staying engaging and accessible, helping communities prepare with confidence and clarity. We brought their mission to life through inclusive, impactful storytelling.
Production, With Purpose
To keep viewers engaged while conveying critical information, we blended cinematic live-action footage with clear, purposeful motion graphics. This mixed-media approach grounded the videos in relatable, real-world scenarios while highlighting key preparedness tips through thoughtful visual storytelling.
We also modeled and integrated a fully 3D rendered car to visually support the narrative.
The vehicle added a striking, realistic element to the scenes, seamlessly interacting with both the live-action and motion graphics components to bring the preparedness story to life.
Accessibility was at the heart of this project. Designed first and foremost for the ASL community, each video was then adapted into English and Spanish, ensuring these life-saving messages reached as many people as possible. This intentional, inclusive approach reinforced the Red Cross’s commitment to every community they serve.
