2D Motion Designer

Levitate Media is looking for an experienced and motivated 2D Motion Graphic Designer.

An ideal candidate would be a designer, illustrator, and animator with a strong sense of graphic design. This individual must have a proven track record creating motion content under strict schedules. You will work closely with the production team to develop all visual elements related to video. On all projects, you will be paired with a dedicated Production Manager from the team who will lead you through the process of production. The Production Manager handles all client communication, allowing you to focus on what you do best!

• Conceptualize original ideas and/or translate existing concepts into composited motion graphics and video animations utilizing industry standard design 2D and 3D software.
• Design and illustrate styleframes and full assets for animation based on concept, script, and brand guidelines
• Animate a variety of styles including 2D/2.5D motion graphics, kinetic typography, UI animation, mixed media animation, and character animation.
• Revise storyboards, illustrations, and animations as necessary
• Pick up existing projects and make edits as necessary

• A portfolio or demo reel demonstrating motion graphics skills
• 5+ years experience as a motion graphic designer or related position
• Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator, and Photoshop
• Ability to brainstorm and propose visuals from text-only briefs and scripts, without existing assets
• Ability to translate complex information into visuals
• Ability to work alone, owning each stage of the animation pipeline from concept to delivery
• Ability to accept and implement feedback from clients and producers
• Ability to manage time and hit deadlines
• Excellent sense of typography and text animation
• Must be self-motivated team player, professional, detail-oriented, and possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
• 3D animation skills a plus
• Cel animation skills a plus
• Experience editing and animating stock footage preferred 
• Agency experience preferred
